Elevate Your Immune Arsenal with Chaga: Nature's Diamond in Defense!

We're Exploring Further This September Into Immune Health!

Your immune system is an incredibly complex structure with many moving parts.

All of which have one goal in mind - keeping you safe.

With that in mind, while last month's issue focused on the benefits of proactive care for your longevity, immunity, and overall energy, we intend to shift gears slightly for September…

This month, we're taking a closer look at how your environment and lifestyle can have an impact on your health and immune function.

To begin, let's have a look at the overall picture.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the immune system is thought to consist of two major parts:

There are defences within the body, in addition to an external component.

The external immune system is known as a protective energy called “Wei Qi”, which flows beneath your skin.

This energy represents your body’s inherent ability to ward off outside threats from entering the body – sort of like a castle’s walls, or a moat that makes it difficult for anything to get close.

This energy protects you like a shield!

The circulation and activation of Wei Qi is propelled by the energy of the Spleen and Lungs.

Your Spleen is responsible for regulating water and food intake, cultivating Qi, and creating blood. All of which are directly related to the strength of Wei Qi.

And the Lungs receive the protective energy and are tasked with dispersing it throughout the rest of the body.

Your protective Wei Qi is nourished by the air that you breathe and the foods that you eat.

This is why polluted air quality and a poor diet can directly affect your immune health.

Poor or depleted Lung energy can result in poor defences against unwanted intruders and environmental factors such as wind, cold, heat, dampness, and dryness.

Wind is considered the major cause of illness in classical patterns of disharmony. It's seen as the primary transporter for most external invasions.

It combines readily with other environmental risk factors, giving rise to illness and imbalance.

When Wei Qi is weak, the wind can invade.

Since Wei Qi is controlled by the respiratory system, the sinuses, throat, and mucous membranes are commonly affected by external invasion.

The symptoms are usually acute and have a shorter duration than internal conditions.

However, if the body’s external defenses are not carefully nurtured then the issues may drive deeper; eventually leading to more severe and unpleasant symptoms.

This is why having a strong Ying and Yuan Qi are equally important.

These two forms of Qi constitute your inner defense.

Ying Qi is also commonly known as your "Nutritive Qi." It's the energy that is produced from the combination of food nutrients from the Spleen, and fresh oxygen from the Lungs.

The main purpose of your Ying Qi is to be transformed into blood and used to replenish tissues and organs, but this replenishment also includes the systems responsible for your immune health.

Yuan Qi is a vital Yang energy that comes from the Kidneys and acts as the motivating and activating force for all of your organ functions.

It’s vital to unlock the Yuan Qi, allowing your body to properly circulate energy and replenish your blood and vital organs using the Ying Qi you cultivate.

All three of these types of Qi need to be cared for to support proper immune function.

Energizing your Wei Qi, and having a healthy balance of Ying Qi and Yuan Qi is key to a strong immune system that can keep you safe throughout the cold and flu season.

Luckily, there are a number of herbs that nourish the Qi vital to keeping your immune system functioning as it’s supposed to.

One of the most famous herbs for fortifying your Qi is Astragalus root.

Astragalus is this month's featured herb, so try it for free!

September's other featured products continue with last month's theme of safeguarding your immune system, while also highlighting a few of my favorite adaptogenic formulas.

Adaptogens are herbs that promote homeostasis, helping your body to return to it's natural, balanced state during periods of hyperactivity or underactivity.

They've also been used to support the immune system using these same balancing properties!

Now that we're quickly approaching the colder season, we want you to have peace of mind, knowing that your health and longevity are my top priority.

"This is an amazing product! I love the taste. Sometimes I put it in coffee or a smoothie. But other times I just eat it plain under my tongue. It’s a subtle energy booster without jitters. It also helps with immunity. Many other benefits!!! Give this a try. You won’t be disappointed!!"
